My beautifully coifed hair which my hairdresser, Tina, does so well!

This gorgeous sun-filled room to sit and write to you in

The birds flitting back and forth between the bushes and the feeders right outside my window, in full view

The VAM class and all the learning we shared the past five weeks with Kathy

Safety – the safety of the sharing here in the Council, the safety from the elements in the shelter of this warm room (it's nine degrees out – brrrr – yea, right, Del, I know, no bad weather, just bad clothing)

My family, Scott and Scott's family which is now mine, my friends and loved ones, all unique expressions of this Perfect Mind symbolizing all the Divine Ideas in infinity

My enemies – because Leo Buscaglia says to love them drives them crazy, and crazy is GOOD to be!

Beca's cartoons that she's sharing – inspired me to start doodling forests full of trees while on the calls – so now I have these wonderful little forests of trees all over my Everything book.  And I remembered how much I love trees, all trees, conifers and deciduous, small and large, sturdy and fragile, hefty and lacy.

Star filled skies

Christmas – oh, how I love Christmas!  The time of year when people are most likely to lay down their differences and be willing to unite and share, even if only for a moment.  There is a feeling of raised awareness, increased gentleness at Christmas.

Forgiveness, Understanding, Love -  the meaning of The Christ.  I love Christmas!

As a long-time single person before I entered into relationship and then marriage, I became accustomed to reading at the table.  I mean, while eating.  I tend to read at the table when I'm NOT eating because I have a really beautiful, comfortable table and chair.

I've been working on Awareness.

A long time ago, I read Dan Millman's Way of the Peaceful Warrior, about Joseph and Socrates who dined slowly and with great attention to every bite, but when I tried it, I just got impatient and got on with getting the meal done and on to the next thing.

This morning, Scott opted to keep clearing snow when I made pancakes, and I reached for a book as I sat down, and realized I really wanted to EAT my blueberry pancakes.  And pay attention when I was eating them.  And give Thanks for them, especially since the blueberries were a gift from a friend, picked in Maine, flash frozen and delivered to her, and then to me.

So I did.  And as I sat and savored every bite, I realized that I was, indeed, practicing Awareness, expressing Gratitude, and living in the Now.

It could seriously become a habit…..

Hi Jet,

Earlier this week my husband got Monday off so we treated it like a bonus day of weekend. Wanted to start it off with something special. Well I don't know if reading your post about the delicious savoring of your blueberry-goodness filled pancakes played a role or not but I had a similar experience! I had mentioned to Hugh that I'd seen a great pancake mix at a little nearby farm store (at the time, didn't have my purse on me so hadn't gotten the mix). He remembered my comment and got the mix (surprising me) and decided to make the pancakes for us on his bonus weekend day. We then enjoyed eating our perfectly browned little cakes with pure maple syrup on them (what better treat for a January morning with snowiness outdoors?). Found out it was his very first attempt ever at making pancakes! Made the day even more special, I felt so lucky to share the experience with him. And how he got them to brown perfectly on his first try — just shows that his passion for cooking translates across cultures and cuisines!

Thanks for the pancake inspiration!

Corinne

Oh, Corinne, this is such a great continuation of the story!  Gratitude all 'round, for the pancakes, for your husband, and his gifts to you to commemorate the gift OF you to him!

And now you share this gift with us – Thank You!

I agree!  I loved this story Corinne. It was wonderful to have such a precious image of you and your husband together, and share in those pancakes on some level.

Of course now you all have made me hungry for them … perhaps there are blueberry pancakes in my future too!

Yes, things I'm grateful for.  I'm taking the 28 Day Shift to Wealth & Prosperity (again) and on Day 17 the writing assignment is to write down in your Wealth Journal all the things you are grateful for.  Since I'm a sharing kind of person, I figured I'd share them with anyone who cares to be shared with.

My Life, My Faith, My Husband and family, TWC and all that goes with it, around it, among it.

The kazillion snowflakes outside, the sun shining brightly, beautifully on the kazillion snowflakes, making them sparkle like so many diamonds, ooh, it LOOKs like acres of diamonds!  Therefore it IS!

The tractor, the plow, the snowblower and shovel that cleared a path to

The horses, and for the dog.  (Muchas Gracias for them all!)

The warmth of the house with both stoves going.  The soft light of the lamps to write this by.

The lovely power that we never lost – THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

The air I'm breathing, the warm clothes I'm wearing.  The eyes to see with, the fingers to type with, and all of you to read this.

The Power of Love to see through all missed perceptions.

The work I have to support me.  The play I can play to amuse me.  The love I can share to keep me connected.  The life I can live to the best of my Understanding.

That's a good start!  When I get back later, I may add to it.

Would love to have additions from all of you!

What are you Grateful for?

Well… if Truth be told .. which of course it must, we could, and probably should be listing these gratitudes every moment of every day. Well, maybe not by writing them down, but within our hearts.

So a few written down.

I am always deeply grateful for every member of TWC and the unfolding and growth and sharing and support .. this could last for awhile so just keep adding ands..

For you Jet for prompting us in so many ways to keep shifting!
For the warm fire that is heating our home and Del who keeps it warm in all ways just by being himself
For the computer, evidence of Love's ever presence and constant communication with Itself
For the snow which makes everything beautiful, quiet, soft and in an interesting way, equal
For the birds that are a constant supply of never-ending energy, amusement, joy, and beauty

and and and and …

LOVE!

Things I'm VERY Grateful for!

Scott has watched me play at the Kindle booth for a couple of months now whenever we go to Staples.  A couple of days ago he came home with a Kindle for me!

And there are so many free books on Kindle that it will be a while before I have to actually BUY one!

And synchronicity – I wrote this post a couple of minutes ago, but the page reset and I couldn't get back on so I lost it.  In the meantime, Beca sent an email out with a Kindle book I can pre-order for FREE, so I did!

And now I get to add that to my Gratitude list….

I feel so Blessed, even when I'm not sure I feel Blessed, I feel Blessed.
