Scott and I watched Blind Side with Sandra Bullock last night.  I had seen the previews when it hit the theatres and it sounded like my kind of movie – of course almost anything with Sandra Bullock in it is my kind of movie.

Based on a true story, which caught Scott, who wasn't interested at first, it addresses opening up your point of view, and your heart, even when your friends don't agree, even when there doesn't seem to be any good reason except being a good samaritan, and accepting the loving support of a well-raised family.

They have photos of the real people at the end of the movie, which I loved.  I'm sure the movie script was adapted to be entertaining, but the ending, well, the ending is the same, since they post the real life results.

There are so many ways to shift your point of view.  There are so many ways to get the message, and send the message.

This is one method I really enjoyed!

Hi Jet, Beca and All,

I'm still new to this site and not certain of my way around, so if I'm entering this in the wrong place or fashion, please let me know!

I just listened to Beca's story in the Shuttle Series titled about "How Many Signs". It is excellent and I thank Beca and highly recommend it.

She mentioned liking one of the old Twighlight Zone episodes. I also found much I liked in many of them. Similarily, I liked some of the themes in Star Trek, Amazing Stories and the movie and book, "Somewhere in Time." In the similar topic was "What Dreams May Come", in my opinion the book was better than the movie. Some topics are difficult to put on a screen. In any case, possibly the reason that so many of these themes can seem to have an underlying spriritual truth to them is because they were all written by the same author, Richard Matheson. In his works and writings he gives credit that he was raised in Christian Science, so some of these concepts sneak right on through the plots. Some of my memories of the Star Trek stories allowed for the imagination to soar to new concepts of the substance of life and intelligence itself. Several times he used the theme of a programmed computer getting outwitted by Capitain Kirk with turn around logic about it's own existance. Interesting, since it was Mr. Spock who was supposed to the Logical One.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share it for those who didn't know.

Love,
Diane Combs
