I was impelled to look up a word the other day, because I thought to use it as a quality on one of my quality lists, and hadn't really accepted its merit in prior times.

When I read the definition, I was impressed with what I found, and thought it would be nice to have a place to post "Words I Love" for everyone to post to.  We get so many ideas from our like-minded Shift participants!  I'd like to offer this up as another way to share.

I was impelled to look up the word organize the other day because I was thinking of using it in a quality list, and previously had not preferred it as a quality, since it seemed less like a quality than a discipline to me.  According to The American Heritage Dictionary of The English Language,

Organize -

to arrange, systematize, to arrange in a desired pattern; provide with an organic structure; to arrange systematically for harmonious or united action; to develop into or assume an organic structure.

from there I was led to look up organic -

of, pertaining to or affecting an organ of the body; likened to an organism in organization or development; "he saw society as an organic whole, with the health of one part vitally necessary to the health of all the others" (Richard B. Sewall); of or constituting the essential part of something; constitutional; substantive

from the Greek organikos, serving as an instrument, from organon, implement

I put the quality on my list!  Especially since my USB is To Serve Truth
