Here is an excerpt from what I read last night.  It comes from Mrs. Eddy's Pulpit & Press, Clippings From Newspapers. It is an article written in February 1895, by The New Century, Boston

"We all know her – she is simply the woman of the past with an added grace – a newer charm. Some of her dearest ones call her "selfish" because she thinks so much of herself she spends her whole time helping others.  She represents the composite beauty, sweetness, and nobility of all those who scorn self for the sake of love and her handmaiden duty – all of those who seek the brightness of truth not as the moth to be destroyed thereby, but as the lark who soars and sings to the great sun. She is of those who have so much to give they want no time to take, and their name is legion. She is as full of beautiful possibilities as a perfect harp, and she realizes that all the harmonies of the universe are in herself, while her own soul plays upon magic strings the unwritten anthems of love.  She is the apostle of the true, the beautiful, the good, commissioned to complete all that the twelve have left undone."

….after a few more pages it closes with …

"She brought to warring men the Prince of Peace, and he, departing, left his scepter not in her hand, but in her soul. "The time of times" is near when "the new woman" shall subdue the whole earth with the weapons of peace.  Then shall wrong be robbed of her bitterness and ingratitude of her sting, revenge shall clasp hands with pity, and love shall dwell in the tents of hate; while side by side, equal partners in all that is worthy living for, shall stand the new man with the new woman."

That is just beautiful, Beca, thank you for sharing it!  I love it when we all share something we have read that touches us; it then touches us all with new awareness and insight.  Seeing through a loved one's eyes helps us to see much more clearly.

Seeing through "an enemy's" eyes gives us compassion and steals away judgment.  This is my gift today – an awareness of the path I've been following for most of 2011.  Everything this year has been turned upside down, and I've been forced to become aware of and face old outdated habits, shed the old skin, as it were, and Stand in the Truth of Infinite Love.

Yesterday as I read Science & Health, Mrs. Eddy used the term 'Christly affection.'  I LOVED that!  Divine Love = Christly affection.  It illuminated yet another shadowy concept for me.  Every week my planner has a hand written phrase at the top -

WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION.

In 2011 I have been learning to see the Light, not through my eyes, but through Mine Eyes.

Bless you all,

Jet

I thought I would share with you today a video sent my Cyndy. If you were at The Gathering in CA a few years ago you will remember her ..

I bet you won't forget this video either!

You're absolutely correct, Beca, I will remember that video for a LONG time!  Superb!  Can you imagine carrying that blessing with you????

Simple gift today – do you want to spruce up and individualize present wrapping this year?  If you have some scraps of yarn hanging around,  wrap it around your splayed fingers about 20 times, tie it off by coiling the yarn end tightly around the middle of the loops, and Voila! Delightful bow!
