Perhaps it's not the specifics of where a yellow brick
road is taking me that has come to my attention, but all that has unfolded to my
thought leads me to believe that this is just too much of a co-incidence to be
accidental after my making that comment on last night's conference call….a comment that really
came off the top of my head, not something that I had put into any words such as
those ever in thought.

Early this morning I heard the Carolina Wren calling me,
sounding as if singing to me, "Pichu, Pichu, Pichu", and capturing my attention because of recent discussions and videos of Machu Pichu. The wren is resourceful,
adaptable, bold and loves to sing all day long. I like all of those qualities.  Wren seems to be asking me whether I am using the
resources available to me as I build within my own environment.

I then hear the cardinal's repeated "chip, chip,
chip",  repeating and reminding me that I too need to renew and recognize
the importance of my life role.

I look up these birds in Animal Speak book, also decide to look up
again to read about bluejay because it's the bird of January, my birth month and the season of learning month and bird.
Bluejay reminds me to use my own power properly, to follow through
on things, as well as reminding me to utilize with greater resourcefulness and adaptability
ideas about to unfold.  Love the idea that
bluejay has tremendous ability for survival with the least amount of effort,
but also remember that I am moving into a time where I can begin to develop my
innate royalty rather than simply be a pretender using words rather than actions.

My company name is Blackbird Crossing. I started this as part of my art, antiques, collectibles business, and now I am adding travel as well as writing to the business(and whatever else pops up that is new and of interest)  I decided to look up the blackbird while in the
Animal Speak book.  Now this is where it gets especially interesting to me.   May at first glance try to seem a bit confusing to read.  It's difficult to put into words that describe what I feel as it is
revealing itself to me.  My entering
color is black (harmony and hearing). My centering color is yellow (love and
devotion). Yellow and black coloring shows up in many places for me and I learn that they have been associated with the Archangel Auriel, who is
considered the tallest of angels with eyes that can see across eternity,
and oversees all nature and nature spirits.

I have bumped into Auriel on several occasions in various venues of reading in recent months that lead me to believe that he is definitely working to get my attention. One example is this quote, "Within ourselves, we imitate Auriel in our attempt to understand God and
the world in which we live. We (as in yellow and black people I guess) are capable of reflecting both the Light and
Face of God within ourselves. In this way, we create the images of the world as
we each know it and breathe life into those images with the Light of God within
us."  Interesting angel. Interesting thought.

And here's where my yellow (as in brick road) comes in that
captured my interest and attention as it unfolded to thought this morning.
Yellow is the color of that path…perhaps not a brick road but definitely a path. I learned that these are the colors that connect the black (that stands for
Binah or understanding) and red (the color for Gebura, strength) I discover as I was in looking into my Archangel Aurieal and all are colors of the blackbird, as in Blackbird Crossing. Another
aside to all of this insight is I learn that blackbirds usually live close to water, and I like that a lot as an idea of where I live. That is the
picture in my mind whenever I see my perfect place, beautiful water, beautiful views.  I love blackbirds and crows and they've been appearing for me wherever
I have traveled the past couple of years, always reminding me to pause, watch, listen, observe, and now I learn, they're reminding me to ACT.  I am loving more and more that my company name is Blackbird Crossing.

I had a discussion last night with friend about our
traveling to Spring Island, SC, sometime this year for an artist get-away.  This discussion captured my interest and attention,
especially as after living in SC for over 30 years, I have never heard of
Spring Island.  Now I am not certain that
there’s a yellow brick road leading out to the island but something most definitely perked
up within as I listened to this conversation.  Spring Island is located south of Charleston, below Beaufort and close to Savannah, GA.  I intend to visit while on my trip to Charleston
next week.  I love the name, the sounds
of the name, the idea of the name, plus I love the looks of it based upon looking at a website.  And it’s an island…..hello, does that sound
close to water?

Blackbird Crossing.  Spring Island.  Kind of goes together don't you think? This is where my yellow brick road is leading.

Barbara .. I HAD to go look at Spring Island.  I love the qualities that it represents. You always find the most beautiful ideas (and therefore places) and share them so easily.

Thank you for this series of ideas and observations – connecting so many of them in such a glorious manner.

It is such a delight to travel this "yellow brick road" with you.  Interesting that in the end that road led to Oz who ended up telling them all that he had no extra power, and they had what they wanted within all along, but they had to take that action to find it.

Barbara, I love all the colors that are emerging for you, and that you are sharing them with us in the form of your "journey."

By the way, the wren saying, "Pichu, Pichu, Pichu," is it telling you to keep on thinking about Machu Pichu? Wink

I'm going to look at Spring Island, too!  AND, I also love the togetherness of Spring Island and Blackbird Crossing!

This red-winged blackbird is flying right along side you!
