A few days after laying down inches of mulch all over our garden, I strolled around looking for evidence of spring.
I found some. However, I also found evidence of a squirrel’s activity of looking for food. There were holes everywhere.
They were just deep enough for me to recognize the squirrel and its behavior that I imagine results from a thought process that sounds something like this, “I know I buried these nuts here somewhere!”
